Terms & Conditions

Dear Prospective Students:

Congratulations for taking this first step to inquire about earning your correspondence high school diploma.

Ellenwood Academy is committed to complete customer satisfaction.  We know that you are excited about the opportunity to join the thousands of other students who have received their high school diploma by correspondence.   Ellenwood Academy is here to help you achieve your goal, however, before moving to the next step, it is required that you read and agree to the terms of the accreditation for Ellenwood Academy correspondence diploma.

·         I understand that Ellenwood Academy is not a traditional High School and therefore does not offer a traditional high school diploma, but offers a correspondence school diploma which some institutions do not consider as the equivalent to a traditional high school diploma. 

·         I understand that every accreditation group is not the same and that accreditations are different  and focus in different areas

·         I understand that Ellenwood Academy’s Accreditation through Accrediting Commission International is primarily a private school association unrelated to government accreditation.

·         I understand that Ellenwood Academy is not a state run program, is not affiliated with the state and that credits are not guaranteed to be accepted by secular or state run programs, i.e, some branches of the military and some colleges (usually state funded colleges or universities) do not accept correspondence diplomas

·         I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure that other institutions, schools, colleges, universities, military branches or any other entities not mentioned in this disclosure accepts a  correspondence diploma in lieu of a high school diploma

·         I understand that it is my responsibility to determine if this program suits my specific needs/goals.

·         I understand that credits taken in this program may or may not transfer to another type program and that this is the sole determination of the receiving institution

Requirements to Attend:

·         I am at least 17 years of age or older

·         If I am between the age of 17-19, I have been out of school for at least 3 months

·         If I am between the age of 17-19, I understand that I must have entered into at least the 9^th grade at my last school in order to attend classes at Ellenwood Academy

End of Course Testing/ Passing &  Failing

·         I understand that in order to pass the end of course examination at Ellenwood Academy that I must score a seventy (70) or better on the graduation examination

·         I understand that if I do not pass the graduation examination with a score of seventy or better, that I will not receive my diploma

Failing the Graduation Examination

·         I understand that if I fail the graduation examination that I will be given the opportunity to re-test one additional time for a fee of $50.

·         I understand that I may re-test immediately, however, Ellenwood Academy recommends at least 10 more days of further study and overview before re-testing.   (Ellenwood Academy offers study assistance and preparation for the re-test on campus)

·         I understand that if I fail the graduation examination for the second time, that I must pay the full price and re-take the entire course again. 

By signing the terms herein, I am confirming that I understand the type of degree for which I am applying and neither ACI nor Ellenwood Academy, Ellenwood, GA is responsible for my employment or education goals.
