Let Ellenwood Academy prepare you for a high demand career as a Patient Care Technician!

The Patient Care Technician learns a combination of skills including portions of CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant, CET-Certified EKG Technician, CPT-Certified Phlebotomy Technician and Advanced Nursing Assistant Skills. Patient Care Technicians function under the direct supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses. Prerequisite: Candidates for this program must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or have obtained a certificate of completion from Ellenwood Academy’s CNA program.

The program is a total of 6 weeks long and upon successful completion; the student will receive a Certificate of Completion entitling the graduate to sit for the national Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) designation through the National Healthcareer Association. Ellenwood Academy is an authorized testing center.
